Moonlight Chicken

Jim, a simple man running a Hainanese chicken rice diner, lives a quiet and predictable life—until one night when he encounters Wen, a carefree stranger who shows up drunk after closing time. Their unexpected meeting sparks an unspoken connection neither of them can easily ignore. Despite Jim’s attempts to keep emotional distance, he finds himself increasingly drawn to Wen, unable to stop thinking about him. Around them, life at the diner continues with Jim’s nephew Li Ming, their regular worker Saleng, and Kaipa, the chicken supplier who often uses deliveries as an excuse to linger a little longer than necessary. As ordinary routines begin to intertwine with lingering feelings, Jim’s carefully guarded world starts to shift in ways he never expected.
